This Kitchen Aid dish drainer is of excellent quality- sturdy, well-made, and attractive. It fits perfectly in the small side of my double kitchen sink with room to use the side holders with narrow width cups or glasses. As I was looking at the Kitchen Aid choices, two models appeared very, very similar on several different websites. This model on Amazon is called “Wrap Compact.” The “Compact” choice had a slightly larger depth measurement and would not have fit in the sink. Using precise measuring is important since most double sink have slightly curved bowls that are a bit narrower at the base. The dish rack is small, but functional. By using the drainboard on the counter instead of in the sink, I can use the drainboard as a place for those larger items or bowls that don’t seem to fit well in the dish slots, and it sits nicely behind the cup holders when it is not being used. Overall, a great product that should be far more durable than the ancient Rubbermaid one it replaced. I found it impossible to find color choices in the Rubbermaid models, and the drainboard is sold separately, so this actually was fairly close in price to a Rubbermaid two-piece order. Glad I took the time to research the options!

This is well made, and works well. I would recommend for 1-2 people or if you want to minimize kitchen counter space. If you have more people or entertain friends, it’s bit too small. For myself, it was fine as I don’t want a big rack over my countertop. It’s made of stainless steel and good weight so stacking dishes won’t flip the rack. Cup holders are good for mugs/cups but I will be careful with coffee/tea cups as it doesn’t hold tight. You also need to be careful with wineglasses or any glass cups as it will be on the edge near the front where you will wash the dishes, and can easily accidently hit them. The water drips but not completely, however, the tray can easily slide off without lifting the rack so not a problem. All in all, reasonable price, and you get the assurance and guarantee from Kitchen Aid in case something goes wrong.

After finally replacing that yucky bamboo dish drying rack (no way to prevent mold on those) I switched to a dish drying cloth which basically equates to a perpetually wet countertop, so I decided to dig deep and find something more suitable. I was happy to find this KitchenAid Dish Rack. The black and stainless color combo is super stylish, and matches my kitchen perfectly, but it is also so functional for my household. I have a double drawer dishwasher, which is amazing, but I still have items that I prefer to hand wash and not run through even the delicate dishwasher cycle – including my All Clad cookware – so this is perfect. I also really like the black coverings on the cup holders (they’re a nice touch). I have seen reviews mentioning it is a little small and I would agree that it could be small if you had to rely solely on this as your means for drying a mountain of hand washed dishes but, in my case, as a supplement to my dishwasher the size is spot on. I like the compact size as it doesn’t overwhelm my countertop and it easily fits under my sink (sideways) when not in use. It’s beautiful, functional, and I’m happy to have brought it into my home.

My daughter requested this as her bridal shower gift. I found it funny any girl would ask for this but I went ahead and brought it. Now I get it. It is compact so it’s a great counter space saver, it’s made of stainless steel, very well constructed and it has a little spout from where the excess water runs out into the sink as the dishes dry off. As far as kitchen accessories, this one looks very polished and elegant. I don’t imagine this getting rusty because of the material and the way it is constructed so the air flows.

My sink isn’t big enough for a dish rack that fits inside the basin, so I need something that sits on the countertop, but I didn’t want a big heavy plastic thing that looked unsightly. Love the design of this dish rack! Drains nicely into the sink, and the tray that slides into the bottom is extremely easy to remove to rinse or scrub with a little soap to keep it from getting scummy… Really great design!
