Small-ish and heavy–very powerful. Really moves the air in the hallway, for example, when we want to air out the house. The low speed is very quiet, but we always use it on high for short periods, and the noise is reasonable for that. It does so well and looks so good I am not going to downgrade it for some quirks. The on/speed switch is on the back, where you can’t see it. The first click is HIGH, not low as usual, and the directions of the turn seems backwards. The switch is on one side of the back and the carry-finger-recess is on the other side of the back–NOT the middle, so you get used to that, I guess.

I have a very similar style Vornado fan that I have had for years. I love it ! It’s powerful and quiet. This new Vornado not so much. It’s very quiet but not at all powerful. Disappointed.

I bought this for my brother and it’s a powerful little machine! I may buy another for myself in the near future. I highly recommend this little fan.. I purchased this a year ago. Still love it.

I have half a dozen Vornado fans SIMILAR to this one around the house because they’re tough little workhorses, lightweight and portable. I want to put them in every room so I don’t have to move them around. All of my others have remotes with them, but this one you must be turned on manually at the back of the fan. There’s nothing wrong with it and I will keep it but I should’ve paid closer attention when I ordered.

Use this to provide air circulation to my Audio-Video system which would otherwise sit there and cook itself to death. This fan moves a lot of air and does it quietly. My last Vornado lasted many years even being plugged in and running 24/7. For my situation, this is a must-have. The pivoting head allows just the right angle of airflow.
