I make pizza at leas once a week and this peel has become the tool of the trade. It has concentric circles showing the different size pizzas helping you decide how far to roll out your dough. The peel is sturdy and does not flex and with a little flour or corn meal on the peel under the dough ensures a non stick experience. If there is any knock on this, it would be that the handle could be just a tad longer.

Best wooden peel ever. When I bought this I was afraid it would stain with sauce. Not a bit. Very easy to clean! I build the pizza on this peel making sure it stays free and then launch it onto a 16" steel. Hands down the best peel. To retrieve the pizza I use an American Metalcraft Inc steel 16"x18" peel. After the cooling rack the comes back to this peel to be the cutting board. A must buy!!!

This is a well made peel mostly suited to building your pies on and launching. I say building your pies on because the taper on the leading edge of the peel is really not tapered enough to get a smooth push under a fully built pizza without distorting the heck out of it. But I think the idea behind the construction here is that this peel was meant to serve as a platform to build on because it has the full circumference sizes (up to 16") engraved into its surface. The other nice thing is that flour will build up in those crevices making launching easier. So to sum it up, I use this peel to build pizzas on, and to launch into the pizza oven. I have an aluminum peel that I use to turn the pizza and retrieve.
