I have been wanting to write this review for a while now. I have purchased quite a few of this bag. Why? Because it is well made, very very warm, an extremely comfortable. With that being said if you were looking for a bag that is lightweight and easy to put in a stuff sack this is not your bag. If you were like me and you were no longer in your twenties and need comfort, warmth, and and reliability this is in fact your bag. I have had several issues with zippers or one that arrived with a small tear. With that being said this seller made it right gave me a refund or offered to send me a new bag. I will continue to purchase these bags for myself and others that camp frequently. I will also be purchasing these as gifts for other avid outdoors people. Again not lightweight and in fact quite bulky. But it is a great quality bag, it does hold in lower temperatures, actually has a nice zipper, an incredibly roomy. I am extremely comfortable in this bag with base layer for the top base layer for the bottom and a lightweight sleeping bag liner in temperatures around 30 degrees. Please keep in mind I did order the navy blue 30° bag. Often times I get too hot and have to open the zipper or leave the top part off as I sleep. I hope this helps. If you were looking for a great bag and don't care about size this is it.

I bought two of these for the niece and nephew to go camping in. They are super fluffy and thick, but not nearly as big as most zero degree bags. Not somethig you would take on a backpacking trip but wan't take up a bunch of room in your car and are easy to store away when not in use. From my understanding they keep them warm even to 30 degrees (understand thy camp in an RV). They come with stuff sack for tranportation. I can't comment on the zipper quality. Again, you could alwasy upgrade once the zipper breaks. Who these are for is beginner car campers looking to get into the outdoor activies. You could always upgrade later and keep this as a backup or a spare for quests. I would say even intermediate campers as well as these would work for longer stays as well, say two to three nights.

I bought two of these bags a year ago for a week-long winter camping trip to the Grand Canyon area. They are rated for "cool weather" (to 20-30 degrees). The temperature rating is correct--at 30 degrees there was no problem in gaining a warm night's sleep. By 20 degrees, the bag was feeling a chilly (We were two people and an 80-pound dog sleeping in a small cot-style camping tent using the rainfly to hold in some heat, so some warmth advantage in that setup.) We solved this issue by using a full-sized heated mattress pad powered by the Jackery power system. Below 20 degrees (high teens), even using the heated mattress pad, the bags became uncomfortably cold. One night when the temperature dropped into the high-teens, we had to move to the SUV about 5:00 a.m. and listen to Christmas songs while the vehicle idled. (I use a vehicle-type carbon monoxide detector if I'm idling the vehicle during a camping trip.) I had my eye on these bags for a couple years before I bought them. They are now my go-to for cool-weather camping. The fabric is easy to wash in my front-load washing machine. I usually air-dry them or use the lowest heat setting on my dryer. Most of the time I'm camping in the RV during cold weather, so believe that buying these bags for tent-camping was the best possible decision. Coleman products are often more expensive than their competition, but the build-design and quality justifies the higher cost. I expect these bags will last me for many more years of outdoor adventures.

I love this sleeping bag. Its so warm and soft. Nothing beats a soft lined bag. I've only been summer camping so far, so its plenty warm, I actually get a little too hot and keep this unzipped. So I reckon it'll be just fine in colder weather camping. It rolls up pretty large, could certainly never use this for backpacking. But its great for normal tent camping!

I purchased four of these for my wife and kids before our trip to Yellowstone (late Sept.). On our first night our heater wasn't working in our tent trailer and the temp outside reached 26 degrees F. It was cold! I would say that the temperature in the trailer was just above freezing at the coldest part of the night. In the morning I asked how they had slept (all of them had gone to bed with warm bed clothes, hoodies, socks etc.) To my surprise they had all been warm during the night. My wife commented that her feet were a little chilled during the night but that two pairs of socks would have remedied the situation. The bags certainly did their job and I'm glad we bought them or we would've been sleeping in the SUV all night with cold and cranky kids. The good: -They all said that the bags felt very "cozy" due to the inside material and amount of fill. -One of their favorite features was that the top collar of the bag is made of the same soft material as the inside of the bag so when you pull it up against your neck you feel the cozy part on your face and neck and not the nylon outer part of the bag that tends to be cold at night. They also liked the Velcro pocket inside the bag. - The zippers, in my experience were, smooth and worked great. The Zipper Plow feature kept the nylon from getting snagged in the zipper. - The new-fangled tying system actually works well when you take the time to refer to the illustration on the ties. Once you get the hang of it, it actually helps you cinch down the ties on the bag quite nicely. The not so good: -One of the bags arrived with a zipper that hadn't been tightly sewn down. -They are not large bags by any means. If you are a large guy then these would be a tight, if not uncomfortable fit. I am 5'8" and 170 lbs. and I fit fine in them but there's not really too much room to toss and turn. This could be viewed as a good thing however as I noticed (when trying one out) that the bag would turn with me and did not allow currents of cold air to get in. My large Coleman flannel bag, on the other hand, has plenty of room, but also allows lots of cold air to get in when I turn over. Of the five of us I slept the coldest during the trip. - The material used for the inside of the bag is pretty warm and cozy, but as stated in other reviews it does catch on dry skin. I asked my wife if this drove her crazy and she said that although it was bothersome it wasn't as bad as we had thought it might be. - As mentioned on other reviews, there's no way that you'll get them back in the original stuff sack without a ton of effort. We threw them away as we aren't too worried about babying cheap sleeping bags all that much. Overall: This is a great value if you are looking for a warm bag (down to almost freezing when dressed warmly) on a budget.
