very nice set of drawers for the price. I wanted something that was mainly all solid wood and this was just right as it costs the same as mdf/particle board others. it took a bit to assemble it but once assembled it looks very nice. the finish is nice and smooth, I like the natural look but it could be easily painted if I wanted to. The caster wheels roll smoothly and the drawers slide out smooth as well, but pull to far and the drawer will fall out. Now the drawers are not very large so think about what you are going to store in them prior to ordering. I use it for office/art supplies, so pens/pencils, markers, etc it works great for all of that. cabinet is very sturdy as well. I would of built one myself as I am a wood worker but time is not there to add another project. when you do assemble make sure you use some Tight bond 3 glue on every joint and screw, everything will be solid and no worry of anything falling apart. I glue everything together that I buy that is wood no matter what it is, overall would def recommend. might buy the larger one down the road to for my office space

This actually met my needs precisely and the price can't be beat. It doesn't have ball bearing tracks for the drawers--no tracks at all, in fact. But it's got clean lines, it's solid pine instead of particleboard, and for the price, it's hard to imagine a better quality product. When finished, it's pretty solid. That's the good. The bad is, as everyone else has said, assembly. Most of it is a breeze, but the drawers don't have pre-drilled holes. You will do yourself a big favor by doing so yourself; don't barrel ahead like a bull in a china shop. Simply take your time, make sure you drill in the right spots, making sure you're centered on each board, so your drill doesn't crack the boards open. Use a slow, deliberate speed on a variable speed drill, but only for drilling; don't use a drill to screw in the screws. Also, the cheap tacks are worse than useless. Before you start assembly, put a couple of them in a bag, take them to your local hardware store, and match them with good quality steel replacements. It'll only cost a couple bucks, but will save you a LOT of problems, including irreparably harming the furniture. Be sure to count the number included, and get a few extra. Trust me on this; the included tacks are a complete failure. Speaking of tacks, they're also intended to be used for attaching the bottom board of each drawer to the rear plank. Don't use tacks for that; the bottom is particleboard, and way too hard for these crap chinese tacks to do anything except fold in half every time. Instead, take that rear plank with you when you go to the hardware store, and pick out some suitably small-sized wood screws, instead of tacks, for attaching the bottom board to the rear plank of the drawer. Get 2 to 3 screws per drawer. Once each drawer is assembled up to the point of attaching the bottom board to the rear plank, mark your places, and pre-drill holes, to screw the parts together, instead of getting frustrated trying to use tacks. Then, before you drive the screws, countersink your drilled holes on the bottom board-- the heads of the wood screws will stick out otherwise, so to make them flush, simply pick a drill bit the same diameter as the head of the screw, and drill out enough room for the screw head to sit flush with the bottom board. (It only takes a handful of drill bit rotations, so go slow, be conservative, and obviously, don't drill all the way through. This way, with a little prep, assembly is much easier and your end result is a more solidly constructed cabinet. I guess the key thing about assembly is to manage your expectations. Don't lie to yourself about it being quick, because you'll only get frustrated. Plan on it taking up the afternoon, and you'll be less frustrated, and have better results. I wanted this cabinet to function as an affordable drawer option for a shallow (72" x 19"work) desk I designed, to optimize floor space in a small room. Attached photo is the end result. I couldn't be happier.
