I purchased this rod for a spare bedroom bay window that configured as large-small-small instead of the usual large window in the middle. The "split ball" connectors allowed me reconfigure the rod as I needed. One thing I needed to know was that the rod holders had to be installed against the wall and not on the rounded corners where I had wanted them. I completed the installation with 5 rod holders, leaving me with one extra. I am very pleased with the result!

The rod works great for the breakfast nook, but the screws and drywall anchors were junk. Screws are almost completely stripped after first installation. Added extra time and hassle trying to salvage them. I don't have any complaints about the brackets, rods, or articulating rod connectors! They just skimped on screws.
This product is exactly what I wanted! It fits perfectly, is adjustable, and looks beautiful once assembled. I was able to install it by myself!

This did take 2 people to install, and a sturdy drill, due to drilling into studs and being perfectionists! I have 2 large windows and 2 small windows on each side. This made it awkward to hang curtains that blocked out most of the light and lowered my electric bills. I chose this curtain rod because of the options for expansion. This was a long space to cover and still look pleasing to the eyes. I was able to hang it in about an hour, and I switched out the finials on each end with my fancy ones.
