Love my Aeros pillow. Take it on every overnight backpacking trip. Deflate some when in a hammock and it’s amazing.

I now use this pillow regularly, even at home. Holds air. Comfortable AF. Packs down small. The "gram counter" in me isn't satisfied, and hardly ever is, but this inflating pillow's durability and comfort are justification enough for the extra weight on a thru-hike.

Got another similar pillow at half the price that's not name brand. Honestly, they are both fine. I can't knock any stars off of this though so I am giving it a 5. It is easy to inflate, easy to deflate, and stores very small. All in all, I like it a lot.

Used this for the first time the other day, and it was great. Previous pillows have been to slick and moved around as I slept. The material on this is very soft, comfortable and kept it in place. It's super easy to inflate and packs down small. I was looking for a thicker pillow since I'm a side sleeper and this wasn't quite thick enough. I paired it with some clothes and it worked. I was very comfortable while sleeping on my back with it how ever.

I used to carry a synthetic Eno Pillow religiously for years to try to get a good nights sleep in the woods. I am a side sleeper and I cannot sleep without a pillow. I tried using my pack, food bag, extra clothing, etc, but I found that I needed a proper pillow to sleep well and I needed to usually add a fleece or my puffy jacked under it to get it high enough. Whatever I put under the synthetic filled pillow usually didn't stay in place well during the night either, so I would frequently wake up and readjust everything. That is until I got this Sea to Summit pillow. I initially looked at this as a way to save room in my pack as I was preparing for a section hike on the AT from Springer Mountain to Neal's Gap. When I received the pillow, I noticed that it took up 1/10th the space that my Eno pillow used to take. It was so light and easy to pack this pillow that I put it in my clothes bag and didn't even notice that I had added a piece of gear. Unfortunately, in the back of my mind I worried that it would deflate in the middle of the night, but that worry soon faded when I looked at how well it is constructed. Additionally, it was the perfect size to allow me to sleep on my side, without using anything additional to get it higher. I also liked the dual valve system that allowed me to fill it easily, but then quickly pull the second valve and deflate it very quickly. I liked that I could adjust the "firmness" with the amount of air that I blew into it and I especially liked that it held all the air all night! The pillow is slightly C shaped and I found that it stayed in place really well, even when I had it under my sleeping bag. I slept all through the night and woke up with no kinks in my neck. I highly recommend this pillow to anyone who wants a great pillow and an amazing night of sleep in the woods!

These Sea to Summit pillows may seem a little expensive when compared to some of the knock offs you see but once you do an actual comparison you quickly see why. The exterior is a very soft material that doesn't irritate your face or neck when resting on it. It inflates quickly with just a few breaths and then you can use the little "button" to deflate it in small increments which lets you adjust the firmness quickly. Both my wife and I use these when traveling and they're perfect for planes, trains, and bus rides or even just crashing in the airport when your flight gets delayed 5 extra hours. They pack up super small and light so they are easy to stash in either a carry-on or day pack. I also use this when camping and have zero complaints on the comfort when using it in a hammock system. Highly recommend

Just got these pillows so havent tried them camping yet; however, I can tell these are an upgrade from our Trekology inflatables and we have been testing them out in the living room. We ordered the large size as small seems to be too small for us. What I like: Height of the pillow is about 5-inches at full inflation. This gives more neck support when laying on our backs and is more comfortable when sleeping on our sides. The material is soft to the skin. The locking system should prevent the pillow from sliding off the mat (we use quilts so the pillows are not inside a mummy bag to help contain it), easy to inflate, can make slight air adjustments with a push of a button, and packs down small though not quite as small as the Trekology pillows. What I wish was better: Even more height so you can reduce the air and have cradling of your head without getting below 5-inch height. Slight crinkling sound when moving your head on it. Not a big deal for me though. It’s not a really strong Velcro but as you can see in the pic, it is able to pick up my husbands ultra light mat, though I have a heavier mat and can’t pick it up but should be strong enough that I won’t find it a few feet away in the middle of the night which is what happened to me recently with the other pillow. When you run your hand on that velcro is not rough like regular velcro. We both have different materials on our sleeping mats, so time will tell how the adhesion is. (The velcro was included with the mats we purchased and we had to figure out what we had done with them so we could put them on our mats when we bought these pillows. We didn’t think we needed them). As a side note, my husband is 6ft tall and I am 5’5” and we are not considered to be on the scrawny side so we need just a bit “more” to be comfortable on our sides. The large thermarest pillow is even more comfortable, but it doesn’t pack down small- at all. My husband used to be a mountaineer in his former life and is concerned with weight and packability where as I am concerned with comfort when it comes to sleeping. I’m sure there are smaller pillows or you can just use whatever you brought- but if you want a pillow, this pillow seems to be a great compromise. I might make a small pillow case for it so I can stuff something in there to build up the height if I need to. Our use will be for back packing and/or bike packing.
