My dog loves this sleeping bag, I paired it with the sleeping pad (bought separately) that slides right into the bottom of the bag and it was the perfect system to keep my dog dry and warm during a 40 degree weekend of camping.

Our 40lb dog slept very well in his sleeping bag on his first camping trip. If he was any bigger I would want a larger size. This one allows him to curl up inside or sleep flat with legs extended with his head just barely poking out. It was in the 20s overnight and we did have extra blankets for us all, but it still seemed to do a nice job keeping him warm. Before our trip we let him sleep with it in bed for a week to get used to it. That seemed to really help as well.

I gave my dog a chance to test drive this and the Noble Camper sleeping bag. She chose this and we were both happy on the trip. I would flip open her sleeping bag at my feet (I put her bag on the end of mine) and get her settled in the open bag. As the night grew colder I could flip the bag closed and cover her up almost completely. I also kept a big poofy blanket to throw over us as needed. The stuff bag is a little small but it’s ok. The construction of the sleeping bag is awesome and it washed up nicely. Very nice gear, which is what I’ve come to expect from Ruffwear. Thumbs and paws up!

So far Chunk loves his new bed/sleeping bag at home. Love the highlands mat that slide in the back to add more bedding to keep off ground. compression sack is great. Love the 4 tie downs to keep it in place at camp. Cleans up very easily with a damp cloth. Will update review after we take a 3 day river camping trip on the Suwannee River. Be sure to get some NikWax laundry detergent for cleaning
