This is my second TNF Base Camp duffel. The XS is 30 liters, enough room for a day trip or one overnight trip. The material isn't very flexible, and the zippers take some level of effort to zip and unzip, but that's a result of the burly materials used on the bag. It does not include a shoulder strap but they can be purchased separately and hooked into the latch points.
It feels so durable that it is totally worth it. Have both the xs and s and i like this one for shorter trips and still fits a lot inside.

If you ever owned the 5.11 Rush 12 backpack, it's about the same size comparison but in a duffle bag form. I can fit a normal sized lunch box and most of my gym shirt, shorts, sweater 2 containers of supplements. The bag is super rigid but it gives peace of mind that it will last a super long time. A bit difficult to close the zippers when they are all the way in the open position but over time it will loosen up. You cant go wrong with this bag. If you have the chance to get it on sale do it! If there was one thing I could add would be a normal sling and a stowaway backpack straps. But overall 10/10 duffle if your debating on xs and the small. I'd get the small after seeing the actual size in person just for the amount of stuff I usually have but I dont regret it. Happy shopping!
