After taking tree out of box couldn’t find the power cord. Then looking it over the cords that connect the top to the bottom are the same you can’t connect two male ends together! This tree is pretty and it’s for my 91 yr old dad. He just had me wrap a string of lights around it. Not happy that I can’t get any money back unless we return it. He wanted it for this weekend with family coming to visit.

The 2 trees arrived in three pieces each, aside from the holly berries. The concept was simple, the wider piece fits into the opening within the pot, and then the narrower piece fits into the top of the wider one, like many artificial Christmas trees. The bottoms of the 2 tree portions fit into the octagon openings, so you would simply line it up and push it in. However, the metal ends did not want to slide into place. It took numerous attempts and continually pushing downward, then double checking that everything was lined up and pushing again until finally I was able to get the pieces into place. And even then I wasn’t 100% sure. Once I assembled the 1st tree, I started to work on the second one and had the exact same issues with it. Once both were put together, I picked it up from the center portion to see if it would fall apart, but it didn’t. It was a secure and a very tight fit. Since it is summer, I opted to store the holly berries for now and add them during the holidays. Because the limbs and greenery were easy to move and separate, twisting and shaping them to hide any gaps was no problem, although it took a great deal of time. I had a set at my old house that survived several winters, but not the move, and they were were one solid piece (including the pot) and I paid less than $15 and they looked so real… these, not so much. They are full, which is wonderful, but they would never be mistaken for anything real, even when standing back at the end of my driveway. And because the center is a heavy rod, it was a constant fight to keep them hem upright, and everyday they fell over. After the last storm with strong winds, even though they were against the house, on a covered porch, and behind railing, i came out to 1 flung in the yard, but intact… these other on the porch apart. When I attempted to put it back together, the top portions rod broke in half. Something that at close to $90, I wouldn’t have expected. Now we have a tree and a small “fern” on the other side.

It’s adorable! It’s perfect for my small apartment. I’m thinking of leaving it up year round and decorating it for all the holidays. I can’t wait for Halloween too.
