For my wife, this works. Although the volume isn't up to my USGI rucksack this is more her size/speed. Plenty of places for her smaller items, she needs to use the exterior attachments for some other things that don't need protection from the elements, like her poncho gets rolled up and affixed. Depends on the hike. Certainly versatile. AND COMFORTABLE for her, with beginner experience and onset arthritis. Happy with this backpack and so is she. Should last years or miles and miles. And some weather besides.

This is a really great trail bag. Professional quality. Nice and study and great material. With its large capacity you can really pack a lot of stuff. Perfect for trekking. The bag is nice and lightweight making for a lighter load. Its a really comfortable on my back and shoulders. It offers really great support. Overall I am very pleased with this backpack and would recommend to fellow trekkers.

This is a very well-made backpack constructed from earth-friendly recycled materials. It has a removeable brain, (top compartment), if you choose to go lighter down the trail, and the pack can be adjusted to fit just about any torso length, and waist size. All straps, buckles, and adjusters are high quality, and the materials and stitching are excellent! It is by no means ultralight at 4.62 pounds empty, but it is sturdier than most ultralight packs and can carry more weight-more comfortably. if you are looking for a good pack at a very reasonable price, I recommend this Ampex 65 liter backpack!

I had never been backpacking because I didn't have a backpack large enough to accommodate everything we needed for an overnight trip. This bag has been very durable. I can carry both my stuff and my son's in this one single pack as long as we aren't going to be gone for too long. Since the backpack is adjustable based on height, it has made it much more comfortable carrying a heavier load. Having so many sections help to keep our stuff separated and nicely organized. I really like that the entire front unzips so that it is easy to access the contents within. The color doesn't show a lot of dirt. Plus the outside material is easy to brush off the dirt. Having a rain cover that is easily accessible and contained in the backpack beats trying to get a poncho on over you and your pack. There are lots of nice features and considering the cost of more prominent name brands, I think the cost of this one is reasonable.

The versatility represented in this pack is incredible! The internal frame and zippers feel stout. The integrated rain cover is a bonus - quickly deploys from its zippered stash pocket and is attached to the pack. The main pouch is spacious, has 1 open mouth pocket (1 to segregate gear from a water bladder if you're planning to add one) and and a zippered pouch behind that one. The mouth of drawstring/barrel adjuster closable and has access from the outside via double zipper along the face that opens the entire pouch and from also double zippered from the bottom! The thing you need is always at the bottom - easy access! There's a suspended pocket that could also act as a shelf - that can detach from the inside back of the pack with clips. The top cover that encloses the main compartment detaches and extra shoulder straps deploy/clip in place to make a small day/hike pack! The smaller, outermost pocket is open at the top for quick access stowage. The side water bottle pockets are big enough to accept a 40oz hydro-flask, each! There are gear pockets on both sides of the waist harness and open top pockets on both shoulder straps for high demand gear. The padded shoulder straps (with chest strap) and waist belt are very comfortable and distribute the loaded pack weight evenly (highly adjustable, ranging from 15" to 22" of separation between the top of the shoulder straps and the waist harness). The back of the pack stands off of your back with suspended mesh webbing to prevent sweating. Overall this pack is immensely comfortable and loaded with useful/functional design cues!

Holy mackerel! This is a serious hiking/camping backpack. It might as well be called, "THE Hiking/Camping Backpack!" It's pretty much got everything you would expect a backpack like this to have. However, this particular version of this backpack is meant for people who are anywhere from 5'7" tall to 6'7" tall. Because as long as you're within that range you can set it to your exact height for maximum comfort. And don't worry if that doesn't include you. They do say that it will fit people outside of that range too.
