Calphalon is a good brand, but this price point, coupled with the quality make these pans a great option for new cooks who need a real non-stick pan as they figure out how to cook. My son cooks eggs every morning and these clean very easily! They are very sturdy, distribute the heat well. The weight distribution is even, and thought the handle is smooth/round, it is not difficult to maneuver the pan for flipping and plating food.

I love these skillets. They are the high quality I expect from Calpholon. Just the right size. The food cooks evenly and consistently every time. These skillets are heavy and solid. Fried things slide right out. Clean up is easy. Just a quick soapy wipe out and they are good to go for the next use.

Some of the reviews for these skillets indicated the handles would get hot. I already own a sauce pan and never had that happen. Both of these appear well made. They heat evenly. The handles haven’t gotten hot and are definitely nonstick. Overall I like them and would recommend them to anyone. I discovered what “might” be causing the issue with the handle getting hot. I used the 8 inch skillet on a large burner on the stove. It appears the heat will rise up around the body of the pan. The handle is fine on the larger pan. If I put the smaller pan on a small burner everything works fine.

Very good skillets! I had some Calphalon skillets that are about 10 years old. These are every bit as good as those when they were new
