I bought this to take to work with me. I didn’t want to take my hundred dollar kettle to work. If you are using it for just yourself or maybe a few other friends this works perfectly. It brings water up to a boil. It automatically turns itself off I myself love it and for the price I paid for it. I consider a good deal Just a little tip from me you don’t have to listen to it, but this is what I do. I use distilled water in it because I end up by tasting my tea or coffee without having any chemical taste from the supposed filtered water they have at work. Also, it’s easier to clean. I just take a damn cloth over it twice a week. There’s no real residue. It’s just that I clean it twice a week That is just my tip. You don’t have to take it. It will take regular tapwater as well as filtered water. I just find it easier to clean with distilled water and a cleaner taste to my tea with distilled water.
