This is gear organizer I never knew I needed. Much sturdier and more durable replacement for the reusable grocery bag I was using to organize my hiking/backpacking gear. The slim pocket on the inside is great for keeping smaller items easy to access. Would also be great for keeping the trunk of my car organized. Best of all, it doubles as a tactical cat carrier.

This tote is sturdy with a stylish blue color to boot. This think has an aluminum halo to frMe the opening. The fabric (similar to the durable backpacking fabric) is draped over the frame and riveted on. I like that it has fold-down stabilizers on the edges to help it stand on its own. There is a flat pocket on the internal facing sides that is good for keys, a phone, or chapstick. Other than that, it is quite slim. The handles are similar to duffle bag handles that velcro together. I can see this living in the trunk of my car for grocery shopping or for traveling out to a cabin. Recently used it to ferry my touring boots from the house to the car. Theu advertise it as being able to fit in the leg space area behind the front seats...thats nice but it doesn't really work in a subcompact or compact car. If you use crates to organize your gear in transit, this will fill that 8-10 inch void that is usually left.

I just got back from a month driving around the UK, and this tote would have been a perfect way to organize our lunch snacks in the car every day. A rigid rim and stiff stays mean it always holds its shape - making it easy to organize stuff you're using in the car. When it's time to head home, it folds flat and can be packed into checked luggage for the plane. The tote is clearly durable, carefully designed, and a lovely color. The zipper compartment is perfect to hold smaller items, like silverware, travel knife, and the mini-chopping block that otherwise get lost in the bottom of a bag.

The Gregory Alpaca Gear Tote is built strong. The canvas sides are heavy weight, the rigid opening frame is aluminum, and the stitching is a very thick thread and mostly well hidden. The only possible weak point is the velcro fastening points for the folding vertical supports. Although it was originally intended to be temporary storage and transport for food, this tote is easily strrong enough to serve as storage and transport of tools and materials that accompany me on car camping adventures... like tent stakes and ties, the camp axe, stove, and lights. As built, I expect this tote to outlast this old camper by years and years.

I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. This is a well thought out and executed tote that is sturdy and reliable. It has even withstood cat claws without a mark(not something we intended on testing, but our cat had other plans). It fits perfectly behind the car seat or tucked away in the trunk and has rescued us already several times by being there. It is heavy duty while being light weight. It keeps its shape so we don't have to fuss with holding it open while trying to stuff and retrieve items. It has a lifetime guarantee and I can see why they are able to offer this because it is one tough tote.
