We discovered that we needed to upgrade our youngest kids sleeping bag as it only went up to 48 inches. This is a good budget bag from a reputable company. The zippers are easy to use, and supporting someone up to 5' tall our kid has room to grow. It weighs just over 3lbs inside of a 20L compression sack that we needed to purchase separately, but packs down to a decent size. We typically only backpack during the summer so a 20 degree bag will be plenty warm for our kid.
