Our German Shepard has always had terrible allergies. We went through quite a few dog food brands before we settled on Merrick. Specifically the back country. He loves the freeeze dried bits and it’s the one and only brand that does not make him itch and break out. It is pricey but it’s worth it.

Recently changed to this food after doing much research on the best dog food for my golden retriever. He loves the food and I love the changes this food has made with his coat and his digestion. I have highly recommended this brand dog food to everyone and am passing my love for this brand to you too. Please give it try. I understand it is more money; however, the quality of the food in relation to the health of my pet far out ways the additional cost I am spending.

Wish they had warning in the add for owners with breeds that need grain in their diet (retrievers etc) Were using a supplement since we ordered a lot at a great price and the dogs love it. But wont buy this exact product again.
