Have only used for basic functions so far but was incredibly simple to set up and appears to sip ink. Nice to finally have an economical option for printing. Images print great.

This printer works well and the ink lasts a long time, which is great if you do a lot of color printing. The print quality looks good and it’s been reliable so far.
However, the functionality is pretty basic. It only scans single-sided using the flatbed, so if you need more advanced scanning or office features, this isn’t the best choice. It’s excellent as a printer, just not as full-featured as most “All-in-One” models.

Value for your money is great as the ink lasts for a very long time. The print speed and print quality are subpar and leaves nothing to desire. Noise level is very low and tolerable. The set up was easy with the instructions. I have to print a lot for work so this comes in handy so I can save some money on ink!

This is such a great home printer, its compact perfect on table top ( not over bulky ). I filled it up with the ink and had it set up and registered in about an hour. Set it up WI – Fi, to my desk top. I usally dread setting up a new device, but this was beyond easy. It holds a lot of paper and it all folds in flat after use. So happy with this purchase.

This Brother INKvestment Tank 580 is an excellent printer and much better than the old Brother Printer that I replaced with this one. Data transfer from my PC to the printer is very quick and the pages print at a good speed. I found that using the Brother iPrint&Sacnd software that I downloaded to my PC works better for scanning than using the console on the printer. And, as part of the scanning process, I can designate what folder on my PC should be used to store the scanned document. Filling the ink tanks was frustrating at first because I was trying to do it the wrong way. Pay very close attention to the diagram shown on the ink packages because the rubber tube on top of the ink bottle does not fit over the plastic tube on the ink tank. The rubber tube on the ink bottle goes below the plastic tube on the ink tank so the plastic tube on the ink tank fits into the recessed hole above the rubber tube on the ink bottle. Once I figured that out, filling the tanks was a breeze.
