Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Large Leather Continental Wallet Zip Around Luggage

I stopped using wallets for a few years because I found them frustrating and unwieldy so I sported a card case for my phone and that was it. It helped me with my ADD nature since I forget everything and if I carried fewer things, I’m less prone to forgetting. I improved on that front because I never forgot my phone. However, I use multiple bags based on what I was doing – I have a small daytrip and errands backpack, a “going out” purse, and a work backpack. I couldn’t figure out which bag I put my favorite lip crayon or where should I put a backup stash of pills. If I were to fly, which pocket did I put my passport? I would literally have cash and change in various pockets and bags and it was embarrassing how at 28 I couldn’t keep track of money. I relented and decided it was time to have an adult wallet again but I need to make sure it would be one I loved. I wanted an investment that would fit my particular needs for organization where i could find things easily, everything had its “place”, and it needed to be versatile because the less items I have, the easier it is for me to remember and keep track of. When I came across this wallet I was in love with the flat layout and organization – most continental wallets are accordion style which means you can only partially open it from the top which limits visibility when looking for an item or taking out cash and change at the register. If I can’t find my change, what’s the difference between throwing my cash into the bottom of a tote bag? I was apprehensive about it’s size but acknowledged it would allow me to carry everything I needed in one hand and not drop it because of the wristlet. When it came in the mail I was prepared to hate it. I saved all the little pieces of cardboard and foam preparing to return it at any hint or dissatisfaction. I scavenged all the little details and stared intently for any discernible flaw. The only flaw I found was that the interior is made of polyester rather than leather. But considering the price point of this wallet and that equally priced wallets also have a synthetic lining, i rationalized the superior layout will outweigh a material that I’m concerned will crack with age. I groped the heck out of the wallet and rearranged it repeatedly to see how I would store things in it and quite frankly I can’t find a problem. It fits my things without warping in an unsightly way, but it’s not rigid either. The color which I was apprehensive about (pearl gray) is gorgeous in person and is suited for dressing up and down. It’s just the right size too. So. Alas. I will keep it. It looks great. Its doing what it’s supposed to. The layout is great. I can’t complain. The only way they would have earned the last star would have been a leather interior. Not sure how poly ages because I will inadvertently use the heck out of this wallet. I will adjust the rating accordingly with any new developments in the future.

This looks great and feels great. Nice soft leather outside with perfect lettering. Gold trim. Nice touches on the zipper. Interior looks classy and has plenty of areas to store cards and a primary ID window. Love it.

I had this exact style in blush color for years and loved it, so when it was time to get a new wristlet I decided to go with what I knew rather than try something else and possibly be disappointed. I love the color, lots of room, easy to take the credit cards out. Delivery was on time and great!
