My dog loves this food and he has food allergies. Sadly this 22 pound bag only lasted him 5 weeks so I switched to the Nutro essentials which he seems to like equally well and this is $10 less for 30 pounds which lasts him 9 weeks. Mathematically this does not compute but the size of the kibble is completely different and the 30 pounds bag completely fills up our doggie food container where the supposed 22 pound bag fills it just over half.

When my American Bulldog was a puppy, EVERYTHING upset his stomach. From spending an embarrassingly long time squatting in the yard to a few explosions in his kennel, food was the enemy. It wasn’t until we found this food that his system began to work properly. No more “frozen yogurt” that is disgustingly impossible to clean up.. and everything was all as it should be, if you know what I mean. Ray has been on this food for two years now. His coat has remained white and shiny and his vet gives him a clean bill of health. He was even in the correct weight range.. and for a sad faced, too cute to say dog, this a gigantic feat. All was good and well until my husband decided that the dog would like some food variety – and so commenced the table scraps. When I think of it, its pretty pathetic that the dog was eating healthier than we eat. Now he has become accustomed to french fries, bagels, bacon, and basically whatever the typical overweight American eats. Since giving a treat/death to his tastebuds, Ray now refuses this food… and prefers to beg at the table, cry, and sometimes even puts on a show. He would rather go hungry then eat this, sad reality. If you are thinking about getting this food, I promise you- you will be happy with it. But if you plan to give your dog table scraps, skip this food as it is a bit expensive, and your dog will no better than to eat what is good for him

****Update 4/24/2021, everything is still going great with this food. His coat is shiny and healthy, still no medical or digestive issues at all. He continues to look forward to his feedings. To those wondering, the picture attached with the food in the bowl, that is the “Large Breed” size kibble. Just notice the total recommended quantity on the bag for each variety of this (adult, large breed, adult small kibble). The daily recommended amount is different for the weight classes. ****** (2019 1st review) My AmStaff really enjoys this food. I feed him the Grain-free, limited ingredient lamb and sweet potato. The price seems a bit high, but he’s my dog, and the product is made in the USA, his vet gives him a complete healthy report card, his stool is consistent and firm. He’s 63lbs and i feed him 1 1/2 cups around 8am and 1 1/2 cups at 6pm. So all things considered, I don’t mind paying $58 for 22lbs since he enjoys it, it’s been keeping him healthy and a bag lasts roughly about 3.5-4 weeks. PS, my 5 star review on flavor is not my opinion, lol… he seems to really enjoy it! Update: Its mid-Dec, 2019 and still going great. Since its winter and the air is drier outside as well as in the house with the heat on, I add approx 1 teaspoons of EVOO or coconut oil to his morning feeding only to avoid any issues with dry skin or his coat. He loves it (as you see him waiting impatiently for it in the picture), and it’s had no adverse effects on his digestive system at all, it even seems to improve it.

This was my first time trying this brand of dry dog food. My dog Dexter, he’s the black one, has allergies and his ears, paws and skin causes him to scratch a lot. I have him on allergy meds now. I read some reviews and learned that this has helped with allergies for other dogs. I had to try it and hoped he liked it. Well, as you can see in the picture, I had a lot of help opening the bag! I couldn’t believe it! He’s never acted that way about a bag of dog food before. My other dog, Carlos loves it too! As soon as Dexter is done with this round of meds, I’m going to see if the Nutro does the trick and gets him off of allergy medication.

My pup likes it just have to mix with wet food.

Good product but price has doubled in last few months. My dog has problems with many dog foods. This is all I could find that doesn’t make her sick. Sadly, it is priced more than a tenth of my income 🙁

My dog is a bit of a picky eater and we only want to give him the best for him. This food is minimal ingredients and so good for their fur! My dogs fur has gotten noticeably softer and he’s gotten a lot more fur in areas he previously had a patch in. I’ve gotten a few people even asking me if I give him anything for his coat at the dog park. We love Nutro and will always order it! My dog eats it no issues.
