SteamSpot Steam Mop (S2001) – Powerful Steam Cleaning with Precision Steam Blaster for Sparkling Floors

Wonderful machine!! I've only used it once but I am so happy with it. Cleaned my floors immediately, barely any elbow grease required of me. Steam boost function worked well. Left my house with a clean, fresh smell, no chemicals involved. I agree that the cord could be a bit longer, but that's not the biggest deal.

I recently bought a different steam mop and it was awful. I decided not to write off steam mops entirely and this one was on sale so I bought it. IT’S PERFECT! It works quickly and produces a good amount of steam. Easy to use and the instructions are simple. I have a small apartment, so I like that the steam mop is small and easy to store.

I bought this on a whim because it was on sale for prime day, and I am so glad I did because this is so easy to use and works incredibly well. I consider myself a clean person, I don't wear shoes in the house, I'm organized and vacuum the floors frequently. Before I got this I had been using a bona floor swiffer to clean my hardwood floors. The first time I used this, I was shocked at how dirty my floors were! This steamer is really powerful and please don't be grossed out by the photo, but that was after using it for 5 minutes over my living room hardwood floors. It's fast and easy to use, and my floors look great afterwards and I know they're clean, clean now. It's super simple to set up. You just pour water into it. And pump the steamer handle and steam comes out and it glides really easily across the floors. Great for a quick refresh before guests come over or just something to incorporate into your regular cleaning routine. It works great on my hardwood floors and tile floors in the bathroom.

This is my second steamer mop by Shark. This one is so much better. Pros: Super light weight. I never realized how heavy the last one was until I got this one. Makes cleaning less of a hassle. Even though it’s just using steam, it’s super effective at cleaning. I sometimes will use vinegar for extra clean and that works great. I thought the water tank was a little small but it’s actually is big enough for my entire floors. You also don’t have to push it to get the steam out which is nice. Cons: this is not exactly a con but something to think about, I think it cleans pretty well but I’m not convinced it works better than I traditional mop. Probably just about the same. BUT it will sanitize your floors with zero chemicals unlike a regular mop. I like to rotate cleaning my floors with my swifter mop and this just to try to get my floors as clean as possible. You definitely don’t need to. All in all, love the fact that it doesn’t use chemicals

Let me make one thing clear.  After spending 10.5 years in the navy, I hate doing floors, and I especially hate mopping, or "swabbing the deck". That is why I've always looked for ways to minimize how much floor maintenance I have to do.  I have spent way too much money on robot vacuums and mops to minimize my participation in floor maintenance.  But let's be clear.  Even the most expensive robot can't replace a good ole stick mop. Having tried sponge mops, string mops and even Swiffers, I found that all of them had big drawbacks.   So it was with more than a little hesitation that I tried this steam mop from Shark.   And to be fair, I picked it primarily due to it's price.  It was one of the least expensive out there and had great reviews.  And the idea of never having to buy disposable mop heads or specialized cleaner was pretty compelling. Not only that, a steam mop leaves no sticky residue, so it is truly requires no rinsing. What I didn't expect is how well this thing mops, and how easy it is to do so.  The mopping action helps distribute the steam to the pad.  The water container is easy to fill and attach, and the mop heads are secured via Velcro.  It really is very easy to use.   And effective.  A couple of swipes with steam over the most stubborn stains and the stain is gone.  This easily gets to the corners that my robot misses, and the reusable heads are easy to put in the washer and dryer. The extra long cord means you can cover quite a large area without having to unplug and plug in.  And the lack of any type of rechargeable battery means you don't have to worry about replacing said battery after awhile. Sometimes simplicity wins the day, and as long as the heating element is good, there's not a lot of things on this mop that can fail.  And even if it does, the replacement cost isn't that great. Are there other steam mops that are better, or have more attachments?  Certainly.  But for this price point you get an outstanding mop that is easy to fill, easy to operate and easy to maintain.  And while my robo vacuum and mop gets most of the floor during a scheduled weekly mopping, my steam mop is easy to step in where the robot misses, or just easier to take out and deploy for an occasional quick cleanup.

The only reason I’m not giving this mop five stars is because there’s no way to turn it off without unplugging it, so if you’ve cleaned yourself into a corner, you have to walk across your wet floors to unplug it, which obviously is annoying but also mostly avoidable if you think ahead. Other than that, this is a great steam mop! It does exactly what it is supposed to do and it does it well. It doesn’t have any extra special features, but it doesn’t need them because it does exactly what it’s supposed to do, it cleans your floors. I have a golden retriever who always leaves my floors in a mess, I also live in an area that gets snow every winter, so between the snow and the salt in the winter and the mud and dirt in the summer this little mop gets it all! What I think I love most about it is that I actually know my floors are sanitized and not just wiped down. I used to use a swiffer wet jet and that thing always left a sticky film on my floors that would make them get dirtier faster. The steam from this mop, dries down quick, sanitizes my floors and leaves them spotless. If you’re on a budget, this is the best steam mop you could buy for the price.
