The fit and quality of the mulcher is fine. There are some small gaps, but they clog with grass pretty quickly, so it’s not constantly blowing dust and debris out of the holes. The blades seem decent quality and have cut just fine the 2 times we’ve used it since installation. Worthwhile purchase.

I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this, but I must say it works. I have a Yard Machine 42 inch mower and this is the mulcher that is recommended for it. It was easy to install, but I did not use the suggested procedure. I just jacked the whole mower up and put it on jack stands and laid down where I could reach the blades. Total time maybe 1/2 hour. Time will tell about durability, but I must say it made short work of a 1/2 acre of all kinds of leaves and in some places they were a few inches deep. Price was good too. Box Store wanted $90.

Could have probably pieced this together for less but installation was a breeze and the function has been great. Recommend using an electric impact to remove and install blades.
